I write on behalf of the Planning Committee of the 6th annual meeting of the International Society for the Prevention of Tobacco Induced Diseases. We are excited that this year's meeting will be held in
Little Rock, November 2 - 4, 2007 at the Peabody Hotel. We want to be certain that you are aware of the upcoming meeting. We very much hope that you will consider submitting an abstract for oral or poster presentation, and that you will attend and enjoy this opportunity to network with Arkansans as well as with people from around the globe who share interests in this vital work.
The theme of the meeting is
Translational Approaches to the Prevention of Tobacco Induced Diseases (see flyer below). Active research topics that will be addressed by an impressive group of plenary speakers and in abstract presentation sessions include: tobacco addiction, prevention and cessation, second-hand smoke, teenage smoking prevention, smoking and oral disease, digestive disease, cancer, and cardiovascular disease. The full program and details about registration for the conference can be found at
www.ISPTID2007.org. Abstracts may be submitted on-line, and are due June 30, 2007.
We very much hope to see you at the conference! Please share this information with any of your colleagues who you think might like to participate.
Sincerely,
Parimal Chowdhury, Ph.D.
2007 ISPTID President
